Herbs to rejuvenate and smooth the skin

Medicinal herbs that can rejuvenate facial skin

Medicinal herbs are present in many cosmetic products that can be bought in stores, but in this case they do not retain their positive properties for long. Because of this, purchased creams and masks become less effective after some time than they were at the time of purchase. You can also use medicinal herbs for facial skin in their natural form, prepare decoctions, infusions and masks from them at home.

Dandelion

In cosmetology, dandelion has long been used for facial skin in anti-aging procedures. The plant also helps with skin problems; with its help you can get rid of freckles and whiten your facial skin. The plant contains rubber substances, vitamins from groups A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.

The most effective cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation are those that use masks and cosmetic ice creams made from dandelions.

  1. Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask, you need to take dandelion juice in the amount of 5 ml, 1 avocado, 5 grams of starch. You have to mash the avocado and then mix all the ingredients together. The resulting mass should be applied to a pre-steamed face, left for 30 minutes and then rinsed with cold water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After a few uses, deep and small wrinkles on the skin are noticeably smoothed out and the facial texture becomes more elastic.
  2. Cosmetics ice cream. To prepare this product you will need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All the ingredients must be mixed together, poured into a mold and put in the freezer. You need to dry your face with prepared cubes, it is advisable to do this in the evening; first the skin on the face must be cleansed of make-up. The operation must be carried out in 10-day cycles and the treatment should not exceed 3 times a year.

Rosemary

Rosemary can easily replace any lifting agent, as it contains the HSP70 protein, which can slow down aging at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tannins, fatty acids, vitamins and micronutrients that can heal and rejuvenate the skin.

Rosemary is most often used in the form of an essential oil that can be purchased at most beauty supply stores and pharmacies. To prepare cosmetics at home, you must grow the plant yourself, as it very rarely ends up on the shelves of stores and pharmacies in its natural form.

  1. Rejuvenating mask. To prepare the mask, you need to mash half a banana, then add 50 ml of avocado oil and rosemary infusion or decoction. The amount of decoction or infusion must be calculated, taking into account that the finished mask should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream. The product can be applied to the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic and wrinkles are smoothed out.
  2. Decoction. To prepare a decoction, you need to take 20 grams of dry rosemary leaves, pour 200 ml of boiling water and put in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. The finished decoction must be filtered before use. Take 50 ml 2 times a day.
  3. Infusion. The product is prepared from 50 grams of plant leaves, which must be poured with a glass of boiling water and infused for 3-4 hours, it is advisable to do this in a thermos or pack the container with the infusion in something warm. After the prescribed time, the infusion must be filtered.

Important!Rosemary decoctions and infusions can also be used in the form of compresses or made into cosmetic ice cream.

Chamomile

Chamomile contains many vitamins, trace elements and organic acids that are valuable for the body. All this together helps to rejuvenate, hydrate and whiten the skin, making it firmer and more elastic. In cosmetology, the most effective results can be achieved using decoctions and infusions of chamomile.

  1. Decoction. To prepare the product, you need to pour dried chamomile flowers - 25 grams with a glass of hot boiled water and put in a water bath for half an hour. The finished broth should be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. Wipe the product over the face and neck. After use, wrinkles on the face are visibly reduced and evened out.
  2. Infusion. To prepare a chamomile infusion, you need to pour one tablespoon of the dried and crushed plant into a glass of boiling water and let it stand for half an hour. The finished product needs to be filtered and, as in the previous recipe, wiped over the facial skin.

Sage

Using sage for cosmetic purposes will help cleanse the facial skin and preserve its youth for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.

  1. Infusion for face. The finished infusion of sage can be used as an additive to lotions or tonics, and can also be used in the form of compresses and face creams. To prepare an infusion of sage, you need to pour 3 tablespoons of dry ingredients with a glass of boiling water and leave it in a thermos for 2 hours. The resulting infusion should be cooled, filtered, refrigerated and used as needed. You can make cosmetic blocks from this infusion - pour them into a mold and put them in the freezer and wipe your face with them every morning and night.
  2. Decoction. A decoction of sage has an effective effect on the skin of the face, rejuvenating and toning it. To prepare it, pour boiling water over three tablespoons of sage and cook on low heat for another 15 minutes. The resulting product should be cooled, filtered and washed with it once a day.
